1. Go into the MSU
Library Catalog and conduct a search.
Any type of search (e.g. keyword, author, title, and more) can be conducted.

2. Once the specific record is found, copy the entire website address.
The address needs to be modified! Using this link will go
to the main search page or display errors rather than go to a library record.

3. Paste the address in a word processing document such as Microsoft Word.
4. Modify the website address by removing the characters between http://mnpals.mnsu.edu/F/and ?func=

After removing the characters between http://mnpals.mnsu.edu/F/ and ?func=
the address looks like:
http://mnpals.mnsu.edu/F/?func=find-b&find_code=WRD&request=edspeak&local_base=&adjacent=N
5. The revised address can now be copied and used as a link to the individual library record.
