Abstract:

The Ines E. Reed Papers collection consists of a paper on volcanoes, which was used as part of the Minnesota Educational Exhibit at the "World's Columbian Exposition."

BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:

Ines E. Reed attended Amboy public schools prior to her enrollment at Mankato State Normal School in September 1891. She was admitted to the "C" class. In fulfilling the required teacher's pledge, Reed taught at several schools in Blue Earth County. There is no indication that she graduated.
