The Schuster collection consists of a VHS videocassette, a DVD duplicate of the VHS videocassette, and brief biographical information from an oral history interview conducted between Schuster and James Kuhlmann in 2004. In this interview, Schuster talks about his service as an Army Medic during World War II. During the interview, Schuster talks about his life before the military, joining the service, being stationed in France as part of the 28th Infantry Division, his time as a prisoner of war, and life after the service.

This oral history interview was conducted as part of the South Central Minnesota Veterans History Project conducted by the Southern Minnesota Historical Center at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Biographical Note:

Paul Schuster was born on July 28, 1924 in Norwalk, Ohio. He served as an Army Medic during World War II as part of the 3rd Battalion Aid Station, 110th Infantry Regiment, 28th Infantry Division. Schuster was a prisoner of war. He received the Purple Heart, POW Medal, and the Combat Medic Badge for his duties. At the time of the interview Schuster lived in Mankato, MN.
