Franta, Mark V. Oral History Interview, 8 and 12 November 1985. SMHC Manuscript Collection 1500. 1 folder and 1 audiocassette.
The Mark Franta collection consists of an audiocassette and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Franta and Bart Franta, his brother, during November 1985. In the interview, Mark Franta, a high school science teacher at Winnebago High School in Winnebago, Minnesota from 1980 through 1985, discussed his expectations of and relationships with students, teachers, and administrators. Even though he had only been a teacher at Winnebago for five years, Mark Franta talked about many areas of continuity and change that he witnessed while teaching.
This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for a course entitled History of Education in American Culture at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
