The George Gibbons collection consists of an audiocassette and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Gibbons and Jean Benda during October 1986. In the interview, Gibbons discussed his twenty-nine year career as a social studies teacher in Jackson, Minnesota. He talked about his educational career and his goals as a teacher along with his observations concerning administrators, teacher organizations, the community, parental involvement, and his students.
This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for a course entitled History of Education in American Culture at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
