The Paul Olson collection consists of an audiocassette and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Olson and Mike Rollefson during the autumn of 1984. In the interview, Olson, an educator with thirty years experience as both a teacher and a principal in Forest City, Iowa, discussed the uses of discipline within high school during his career. Furthermore, he noted changes that occurred within the family lives of students, society, and his philosophy concerning student discipline.
This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for a course entitled History of Education in American Culture at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
