The Earl T. Gramling collection consists of an audiocassette and transcript for an oral history interview conducted between Gramling and Ralph Brose during November 1985. Gramling, the Principal at Le Center, Minnesota and former teacher/principal in Alden, Minnesota, discussed his experiences in education between 1956 and 1985. In the interview, Gramling noted how his role changed because of evolving social mores. Furthermore, he spoke about the impact of organized labor, state regulations, and parent expectations upon his role as a school principal.
This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for a course entitled Current Issues in Public Education at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
