The James Bollum collection consists of an audiocassette and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Bollum and Dennis Hitzemann during the winter of 1987. In the interview, Bollum, a high school counselor in St. Peter, Minnesota, discussed the areas of change and continuity during his career in education. He noted the impacts of special education requirements, social workers, and other specialists on his role as a school counselor.
This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for a course entitled Current Issues in Public Education at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
