The Ronald R. Steinberg collection contains an audiocassette and transcript of two interviews conducted between Steinberg, a foreign languages teacher at Mankato East High School in Mankato, Minnesota, and Mechthild Becker during November 1990. Steinberg discussed the continuities and changes that occurred in public education between 1960 and 1990. He focused on technological advances and the liberalization of society and the impacts of each upon secondary school students.
This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for the graduate level Educational Foundations course entitled History of Education in American Culture at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
