The Hershel (Hersh) Siebrass collection consists of two audiocassettes, a transcript, and an interpretive essay by Lois A. Jahnke about the historical significance of the Siebrass interview. During the interview between Siebrass and Jahnke, Siebrass discussed the changes that have occurred at Mankato West High School in Mankato, Minnesota since he was hired to teach biology in 1961. He focused on the changing roles and relationships among principals, teachers, educational organizations, counselors, students, parents, and the surrounding community.
This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for the graduate level Educational Foundations course entitled History of Education in American Culture at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
