The Veda Bernadine Halvorson collection contains an audiocassette and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Halvorson and Neelu Kapur during the fall of 1990. Halvorson's career as an educator spanned over forty years and took her from teaching in a rural school to working as a professor of art at Mankato State University. In the interview, Halvorson discussed the changes she has witnessed in education. She mentioned changing social mores and changes in the ways parents, students, and teachers interact.
This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for the graduate level Educational Foundations course entitled History of Education in American Culture at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
