The Hal E. Hagen collection consists of an audiocassette and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Hagen and Briseis, Lih-Ping Feng during the fall of 1989. Hagen, an Emeritus professor of curriculum and instruction at Mankato State University, worked as an educator a various levels between 1950 and 1989. In the interview, Hagen discussed the areas of change and continuity during his career. He focused on educational philosophy and national and community expectations.
This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for the graduate level Educational Foundations course entitled History of Education in American Culture at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
