The Sally Boyum collection contains an audiocassette and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Boyum and John Ahrens during the fall of 1988. Boyum worked as a high school teacher in Adams, Minnesota from 1938-1940 and in Winona Minnesota from 1940-1980. In the interview, Boyum discussed the areas of change and continuity that she witnessed during her career in Winona. She mentioned school discipline, teacher organizations, and the relations among teachers, administrators, and students.
This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for the graduate level Educational Foundations course entitled History of Education in American Culture at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
