This collection consists of photocopies of genealogical information relating to Adolph Olsson Eberhart, who was a member of the Minnesota State Senate and governor of the state of Minnesota from 1909 until 1915. These copies were made from records found in the Goteborg Provincial Archives in Sweden. They outline the history of Eberhart's family before they came to the United States. Eberhart's original Swedish name was Olaf Adolf Andersson, and that is how it is listed in the records.
Adolph Olsson Eberhart was born June 23, 1870 in Sweden. His family emigrated from Sweden to the United States, and ultimately Minnesota. He graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College, and became a lawyer. He went on to become a Republican politician who served in the Minnesota Senate, as lieutenant governor, and as governor of the state of Minnesota from 1909 until 1915. Eberhart died in 1944.
