Abstract:

This collection consists of the records of the Mankato Rehabilitation Center Auxiliary. This group was organized to provide volunteer and financial support for the Mankato Rehabilitation Center and its clients. The collection consists of minutes of meetings, financial reports, summaries of activities, and records of the Thrift Shop, operated by the auxiliary. Also included is a brief history of the Auxiliary.

Historical Note:

The Mankato Rehabilitation Center Auxiliary was organized in January 1962 in order to provide volunteer social and financial support to the Mankato Rehabilitation Center and its clients. The organization has provided financial support through the activities of the "Thrift Shop", which sells used clothing. Individual volunteers have helped with social and recreational activities for clients at the Center, worked in the Rehabilitation Center, and transported clients to the Center.
