RESPONSIBILITIES:
I am the Archives and Special
Collections Librarian for the University. I am responsible for the
University Archives, Southern Minnesota Historical Center, Marilyn J. Lass
Center for Minnesota Studies, and Records Management for MSU.
Additionally, I provide or
am responsible for:
- Providing reference service to
archival material for students, faculty, staff, and the general public
- Providing access to archival
collections through online and print finding aids
- Developing and Maintaining the
collections for the University
Archives, Southern Minnesota Historical Center, and Marilyn
J. Lass Center for Minnesota Studies
- Serving as library liaison for History, Women's Studies, Ethnic Studies,
and Social Studies.
- Providing researchers with assistance
in genealogy or local history research
- Creating and maintaining web
pages for the Archives and Lass Center
- Developing informative displays
based on archival or Lass Center materials
- Creating guides on information
resources
- Providing assistance to departments
and offices with record management issues and concerns
- Conducting outreach activities
to the university and community regarding my areas of responsibilty
I am available for assistance
on a walk-in or appointment basis regarding:
- Research consultation
- Class presentations or handouts
- Collaboration on creating Library
assignments for classes
