RESPONSIBILITIES:

I serve as a member of the Reference/Instruction Team and a member of the Collection Development Team for the College of Allied Health and Nursing at Memorial Library. My responsibilities include:

  • Provide reference service and help members of the university community to formulate questions, develop search strategies, and locate and evaluate resources.
  • Teach course-related library instruction sessions to undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Provide individual consultations, by appointment, for library research planning and instruction in searching library databases and the internet.
  • Develop search guides for electronic information resources in my collection development and liaison areas.
  • Serve on graduate thesis committees as committee member outside of graduate student's department.

A poster session on a three part library research class . I developed and taught to adult learners at MSU which incorporated adult learning theory principles.

On a panel with art faculty from other institutions, I presented my research regarding library use and art students from Minnesota college and described the peer-to-peer library assistance that grew out of this research.
